SPECTACULAR! BREATH TAKING! EXCELLENT!
Long ago, my first date with my then husband was to see "Anjunadeep" thirty two years ago to be exact. I thought he had lost his mind, and I was going to lose him after this date. Little did I know, but I was hooked when I walked out of the theater, and yes, my husband of thirty two years is still here.
This was an amazing concert, Anthony Daniels was funny, entertaining, and impressive. The atmosphere made you feel like you were part of the scenes, and the music and choir were superb. I was blown away with the sounds from John William's original music scores. I absolutely love John Williams' music, and I must say this orchestra really played his music as stirring, inspiring, and powerful as it was thirty two years ago!
If they had only shown pictures, you would have heard the music in your head and vice versa. John Williams is Star Wars. I think he is the greatest composer of our times. When he is gone and laid to rest, his headstone should simply read "Star Wars."
The audience stood up, cheered, and applauded very loudly at the end of the show as Anthony Daniels left the stage, but they weren't leaving. Anthony came back out and offered an encore from the orchestra. They played what everyone knows as "Darth Vader" music, and the crowd went wild. Honestly, I think that like myself, everyone hoped and expected Darth Vader to appear. This would have brought down the house!
The movie props, laser lights, and on-stage fire flashes were an added bonus. I can not say enough wonderful things about this concert. If it were here longer, I would definitely go see it again. This was an experience I will never forget and cherish forever. Those of you who have not seen it, even if you're not a Star Wars fan, go see this. Yes, it's a little pricey but worth it, and kids love it. I promise you won't be sorry. It is awesome!
